Historic Ford’s Theatre in Washington D.C.
Ford’s Theatre is a site of an unthinkable history. While attending a performance of Our American Cousin on April 14, 1865, President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated in the theatre box pictured below.
Today, Ford’s Theatre is a beautifully restored, live, working theater. It is a moving tribute to Lincoln’s love for the performing arts.
